This Beautiful wood comes from olive trees, the type that grew in Gethsemane and around Jerusalem where Jesus walked. Every Two years the olive trees are pruned so that they bear fruit. These beautiful pieces are made from these pruning by Christian craftsmen living in Bethlehem.
This special nativity scene comes with a musical box embedded in the set and can be turned on mechanically without batteries by rotation of front Star. It will play traditional Christmas Carols songs such as Silent Night or Jingle Bells.
