The "14 Stations Crucifix" is named after the 14 stations of the Via Dolorosa. It is symbolically made of fourteen individual pieces. They (stations) represent the agony of the Way of The Cross from the Judgment to the Crucifixion of Jesus at Calvary.

This Beautiful wood comes from olive trees, the type that grew in Gethsemane and around Jerusalem where Jesus walked. Every Two years the olive trees are pruned so that they bear fruit. These beautiful pieces are made from these pruning by Christian craftsmen living in Bethlehem.
